I still remember my graduation. I had finally made it! But I had no idea what I was supposed to do next.
It was exciting to think about all the possibilities, but also terrifying. I didn’t have connections, opportunities lined up, or any idea how to position myself in the working world.
Everyone around me seemed to have their next step figured out — a Master’s, an internship, a job. It felt like everyone had a plan, and I didn’t.
And then came all the questions…
What does a CV even look like?
What should I put on it if I don’t have experience?
How much should I ask for as a starting salary?
What if I want to work abroad?
Where do I look for jobs?
How do I apply?
What are they going to ask me in the interview?
What does this job even mean?!
I didn’t know anything but I was too embarrassed to ask.
Looking back, none of these were stupid questions.
Starting your career is a big deal. You're going from a world where you know exactly what you're doing to one where suddenly everyone expects you to be a professional adult. And honestly, that's a lot.
And it doesn’t stop there.
Sometimes you’re already in your career and realize, “Wait… is this actually what I want to do?” Suddenly, you’re back to figuring out where you fit, how to move, and how to make a change.
That’s why I’m passionate about doing this. I want to be the person to help you make sense of the working world and feel a little more confident about taking that first step,
